John Kubal

       Since 1971, John & Jane Kubal have served as Catholic Music Missionaries mostly in the Southern California area helping pastors with parish missions, youth events and day retreats, Bible Studies, prayer meetings, and even motorcycle rallies.  They have helped in producing local TV programs, done sound reinforcement for various events, their own recordings, as well as producing recording projects for other groups.  They like to say that they carry on a full time ministry in their spare time because they both have worked full or part time in fields unrelated to music.  They have been self employed since 1989 in the photo chemical industry and Industrial Non Destructive Testing service and support.   Jane takes care of the book keeping and is also very knowledgeable about all the products and services.  John handles service for customers at industrial sites such as foundries that manufacture aircraft parts.  He has become an expert trouble shooter in this field.   

        John has written over 2000 songs some of which have been used as theme songs for SCRC's Catholic Renewal conventions and some are used today in various church's Sunday worship and Liturgy.  He loves putting the Psalms to music for use in Sunday worship.  
 

         Their 7th CD album project is titled "Enter His Gates" and incorporates cover tunes as well as originals. You'll enjoy styles ranging from Folk, Country Gospel, Contemporary and Ballads.  

     They've recorded a Bob Dylan song on this album: "I Believe In You".   One of the highlights of this project is the beautiful voice of Marisol Ayala who is a naturally gifted vocalist.  Her sweet personality shines through her singing.  She was a great blessing to work with.

“I MUST GO” produced in 2019 contains a number of cover tunes all for praise and worship.  By this time Jane had written a book entitled “Guide To Inquiry” that helps RCIA teams better prepare religious education teachers.

“MY NATIVE HOME” was being produced in 2022 when John & Jane relocated to North Idaho to be near some family.  Three weeks after arriving Jane graduated to Heaven suddenly and John took on the task of finishing the project alone.  He was able to complete it on her birthday in 2023.  Also a praise and worship album containing 13 originals and 4 covers with contemporary styles.

“IT WAS YOUR KISS” produced in 2024 contains 9 originals and 6 covers in a more secular country style.  It is mostly a “tribute” to Jane, John's mom & sister as well as a special song celebrating John's brother's 80th birthday.  Uplifting and heart felt songs.

“RADICAL CATHOLIC” is a collection of praise, worship and liturgy songs all written by John mostly over the two year period following the passing of Jane.  These songs were all inspired by the incredible prayer community of St. Pius X, who's mission is to bring more people into the boat of the Catholic Church.  The songs are inspiring, prayerful, and challenging.
